After a 5 day layoff during the All-Star break, The Bruins look to improve during the second half of the season and make a strong push towards the post season. The Bruins swept a home and home series against the Canes earlier this month, outscoring Carolina 10-2. Expect a hungry Carolina squad trying to get into the playoff picture (currently in 9th in the East). Coming off his third straight All-Star game win, Tim Thomas needs to continue is Vezina-esque play and the offense needs to continue it's scoring ways.
Prediction: The Bruins come out sluggish and need a goal late to force overtime. Bruins 3 Carolina 2 (S/O)
