AYO for YAYO

 Bruins 4 - Devils 1

Quit your fucking panicking. The Bruins picked the right time to get back in the win column. Playing one of the hottest teams in the NHL in the New Jersey Devils, the Bruins got solid performances from everyone involved scoring four unanswered goals (Thornton (9), Chara (13), Lucic (30), and Recchi (13 ENG)) after giving up the opening tally to Ilya Kovalchuk on a first period power play. Tim Thomas stopped 30 shots (thwarting 16 in the opening frame.)

Couple thoughts from tonight's game.....

After a couple "spirited" practices after Saturday night's debacle north of the border, it was apparent that it translated to the garden ice. The B's won numerous battles in the offensive zone and maintained pressure and played the physical style that suits them so well.

ALERT THE MEDIA....the Bruins scored on the power play! First 5-4 goal since 2/18. A beautiful cross ice feed from Lucic to Chara led to Big Z (3 points) depositing the biscuit in the back of the net. This will hopefully jump start the sluggish Power Play heading towards the postseason.

Milan Lucic is a BIG BALLER. Scoring 30 goals in a season for the first time in his career. A healthy, hungry Milan Lucic is a productive Milan Lucic. Got a SWEET behind the back feed from Patrice Bergeron late in the third period to put this game on ice....Pun Intended.

Thomas Kaberle shows zero emotion. To be honest, that may be a good thing. Just doing his damn thing on the ice. The Czech tallied two helpers tonight and is starting to become a solid producer for this team.

Andrew Ference returned tonight for the B's after missing a large chunk of games due to injury while Brad Marchand returned after a two game suspension. Tyler Seguin was paired with Chris Kelley and Rich Peverly and they looked really good.

AND....Diet Coke tastes way better than Coca Cola. FACT.

With the win, the Bruins eclipse the 90 point mark with 10 games remaining. Still sitting in 3rd in the conference and first in their division. Montreal lost to Buffalo 2-0 at home tonight to give the Bruins a 3 point lead with 2 games in hand before a HUGE clash between the two clubs on Thursday @ The Garden. OH BABY.......
